Use the original file from your camera or phone. Pictures saved from WeChat, WhatsApp, or Instagram usually have the location removed, so this page cannot pin them.

JPG and PNG. Up to 24 photos, 25 MB each. iPhone HEIC is not read here yet: in Photos, export a JPEG and keep the location. Do not send it through a chat app first, and do not use a converter that strips location.

How it works

  1. Add the original JPG or PNG from your camera or phone. Pictures saved from a chat app usually have the location removed.
  2. Photos that have a location are pinned in the order they were taken, and a line connects them.
  3. Photos without a location are marked. Search for a place and tap one result, or click the map. Nothing is pinned for you.
  4. Play the short film in the page. It is silent, and the preview has a watermark. The clean download is a one-time purchase. Checkout stays closed until it is connected.

Frequently asked questions

Do my photos get uploaded?

No. Reading the location, drawing the route, and playing the film all happen in this browser. The page counts anonymous events, such as a preview starting, with only a rough count of photos and whether they had a location. The pictures themselves are not sent.

Why does a photo have no location?

Chat apps and some exports strip it. Use the original file from the camera roll or from a cable copy. If the camera had location turned off, the file never had a place to begin with.

What if I do not know where it was taken?

It stays off the line until you place it. Search for a city or a landmark and tap one of the results, or click the map. A search result is only a suggestion. This page does not drop a pin on its own.

Will it guess the place from what is in the picture?

No. It does not read shop signs, menus, or street names out of the image. If the file has no location, you choose the place.

Does the short film cost money?

Watching it in the page is free, with a small watermark. Downloading the same film without the watermark is $4.99 once, not a subscription. Checkout stays closed until a product is connected, and nothing is charged before that.

Does the film include music?

No. It is silent on purpose. Dates can be shown on screen if you turn that on. Add your own music later in your phone or video editor if you want a soundtrack.

Can I use HEIC photos from an iPhone?

Not in this version. Export a JPEG from Photos and keep the location. Do not run that JPEG through a chat app, and do not use a converter that removes location.
